Associate Social Improvement Foundation (ASIF) is a non-govt. non-profitable and non-political voluntary Development Organization. It was established in 03/06/1997 and Registered under District Social Service of Pirojpur No- DSS- 335/2000 and NGO Affaires Bureau, Priminister’s office Dhaka, Bangladesh, Reg. No- FD-2971/2015. The main aims of the Organization are to promote the socio-economic status of the rural and urban poor and disadvantaged women, disables, working children, aborigines, untouchables and problem solving programs.

Training Module of Poultry Rearing/Farming Course for two (2) days



1.         Title of Training Module:       Poultry Rearing/Farming.

2.         Goals/objectives.         :           a) Provide ideas on economic benefits of poultry rearing.

b) Provide ideas on improved and HYV poultry birds.

c) Provide ideas on poultry foodstuffs & food preparation.

d) Provide skills on HYV poultry rearing/farming.

3.         Expected outputs.       :           a) Have ideas on economic benefits of poultry farming.
                                                           
b) Skilled on improved and HYV poultry rearing.

                                                            c) Have ideas on HYV poultry birds and foods.

                                                            d) Involved with poultry farming/rearing.

                                                            e) Created self-employment and income earning avenues.

6.         Nature of participants. :           The participants will be the poor, landless, illiterate and
socially less conscious poor people (mainly husbands and wives and also aged youths and girls).

may fluctuate considering size and nature of participants.

20.       Conclusion                  :          

The module is prepared with the consultation of the beneficiaries, staffs and trainers of the organisation, where local needs, levels of participants, local situation, practices, habits, norms, availability of HYV poultry birds, chicks etc, training materials, capacity of the participants etc. have been considered and by which they can realise the ideas, knowledge, skills etc. and objectives, methodologies, etc. have been set considering total situation. It is hoped that the training module will be helpful to train up the participants, which will increase their knowledge, skills and change attitudes to undertake same activity as income generating activities and change their economic conditions through increasing their incomes and employments.

23.       After completion of the training, how participants will undertake enterprise?

After the completion of the training courses, the trainees will be aware, knowledgeable, skills on improved scientific methods of HYV rearing/farming, understand the economic benefits of poultry rearing/farming and they will be interested to development poultry farms. So, they will undertake plan to develop poultry farms and rear poultry birds and eggs. In that case, they will need capital supports. The organisation will provide capital support for developing poultry farms and rearing poultry birds and will provide regular guidance to make the poultry farms profitable. As the beneficiaries will be organised into groups and samities, so, they will deposit weekly savings and those saving will be utilized as credit for undertaking poultry rearing/farming.
